Ladies, ladies, ladies. We have a HUGE issue. HUGE. You have probably heard this before, but I must join in the chorus and reiterate this important message to women: Stop the competition and start empowering one another.

As a women, as a coach, as a teacher, as a leader and mostly as a young, female entrepreneur I have seen and heard the negativity over and over again. I have witnessed the eye rolls. I have noticed some people in my social circles (on and offline) refusing to acknowledge my work or ignoring my efforts to step out of the classroom and into my own business. I have been told, “Good luck” and “Don't quit your day job” on the regular. What's up with this?

We need to change the dialogue, ladies. In service of ourselves, in service of our daughters, sisters and bff's. It is time to start supporting one another. What benefit do you get from hating on someone's ambition? What is holding you back from being supportive of fellow women?

From experience I can tell you that working together, encouraging one another and supporting each other yields much greater results. With supportive women I have formed partnerships, I have gained clients, and I have been given valuable advice. Supportive women have guided me and lifted my spirits after months of (sometimes discouraging) hard work. Supportive and empowering women are the reason that Natural Greatness Coaching exists and they are the backbone behind this company's message.

This is the bandwagon that you want to jump on ladies!

Maybe you are still sorting out your life and searching your soul for your purpose (cheers to you for that!), or maybe you are truly content where you are and have already gained this clarity and perspective. Wherever you are, please keep in mind that there are women in that same place. It's time to start being each other's cheerleaders, not each other's competitors or haters. Reach out to women in your circle, open a dialogue, start talking about what is going on in your world and start supporting each other.

The petty, competitive nature of many female relationships both in and out of the “office” are not beneficial to anyone. Sometimes our goals are lofty and our dreams are really big and may seem impossible. Sometimes our best friend's crazy plan to quit her job, travel the world and blog about it may seem totally illogical and outrageous. Be honest with her, be real with her, but ultimately be supportive! We all know that the real world is not all rainbows and butterflies and a hell of a lot of the time things do not work out as planned. But, the more women who spread encouragement, love and support, the more rainbows we will have. Trust me.

'I am an example of what is possible when girls from the very beginning of their lives are loved and nurtured by people around them. I was surrounded by extraordinary women in my life who taught me about quiet strength and dignity.'
